For didactic purposes, we divided this section:

Foods of our ORIGINS: These are the foods that our ancestors ate for almost 4 billion years before the control of fire only 125,000 years ago. These foods are: Fruits, Greens, Mushrooms, Nuts, Honey and Animals

NEW foods: These are foods that never became part of our diet.

Control of fire allowed us to include starchy foods such as cereals, legumes and starchy tubers.

The agricultural revolution brought us milk and increased the availability of starchy foods

The discovery of America brought starchy tubers, such as potatoes, cassava and camote (sweet potato)

Also we gradually introduced refined sugar, refined oils, alcoholic beverages and processed meats
